Planning your visit to San Salvador? Finding the right hotel is key to making the most of your stay. Whether you’re in search of luxury
I’m Stu. And this is my girlfriend, Janice.
When we met, we both had office jobs working long hours. But 4 years ago, we decided to give up our apartment in New York City to travel and do a little less working and a little more living.
But just 6 months into our travel journey, our life changed again. We were pregnant!
Life changes fast. And that slowed us down.
So, we do what is called “slow travel” with our daughter, meaning we generally stay somewhere for three to six months to fully experience the area. I have always had a passion for learning about the cuisine of an area, so my posts have a strong focus on food, restaurants, bars, breweries, and coffee shops. But we mix in some adventure!

I’m Stu, and I’ve dedicated this space to sharing my passion for discovering the best food, drink, and travel experiences.
My family owned a small restaurant, and growing up in the family business ignited my passion for great food. When I got older and started travelling on my own, I realized that much of what I enjoyed about it was exploring the local cuisine and finding the best restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and breweries – places that make up the heart and soul of any city. Of course I liked the beaches, pools, and other fun activities too, but I always found myself gravitating towards the culinary aspects of travel.
