Here is a list of where you can find the best happy hours in Coconut Grove, Miami.
Coconut Grove, also known as just “The Grove” is the oldest neighborhood in Miami and perhaps also the most beautiful. It is often listed as one of the best places to live in Miami. Most of the bars and restaurants are located in the main business district near Peacock Park, just a block in from the Biscayne Bay. But a few hidden gems are just a short walk inland.
This upscale neighborhood has a mix of cute cafes, two Michelin-starred restaurants (Ariete and Los Felix), several great places for brunch, and a couple restaurants right on the water.
Add everything together, and Coconut Grove could be my favorite neighborhood in Miami.

Monty's
Monty’s is a waterfront Tiki hut that has been around since 1969. Sit inside with the air conditioning, or at one of the outdoor tables overlooking the bay. It’s my favorite spot for their raw bar and live music during the week. You can even come by boat if you contact the Dock Master in advance to reserve a mooring.
Happy Hour Monday to Friday 4-7pm
- $8 Pain Removers: Monty’s classic blend of dark rum and fruit juices
- $7 Margaritas and Frozen Cocktails
- $6 Wine and Well Drinks
- $5 Import & Local Beer
- $4 Domestic Drafts
- Happy Hour Raw Bar
Bayshore Club
Bayshore Club opened in 2022, adding a classy waterfront restaurant with an open-air design to the area. You can watch boats being launched while you enjoy a drink off one of the area’s best cocktail menus. The SS Sandia (rum with watermelon) is a favorite, as is the Tropical Paper Plane (bourbon, amaro, Aperol, and passion fruit puree).
Happy Hour Monday to Thursday 4-6pm
- Half Priced Beer, Wine, and Cocktails
- Various bar bites
Bodega
Bodega is one of Miami’s most loved Mexican spots. There are several locations throughout Miami. Some are just a taqueria. But the one in Coconut Grove (and some other locations) has a lounge thru a non-descript door in the back that turns into a party at night. They also have a more intimate Mezcaleria upstairs that is open only in the evenings.
Happy Hour Daily 4-7pm
- $10 Specialty Cocktails
- $7 Draft Margaritas
- $7 Patron Silver Shot
- $5 Draft Beer
- $4 Tacos (Pollo Asado, Carnitas, Al Pastor, or Carne Asada)
- $3 Antojitos: Chips & Salsa, Cheese Quesadilla, Nachos
Happy Wine in the Grove
Happy Wine could be the best hidden gem in Coconut Grove. There seems to be too few wine bars in Miami, and Happy Wine is both a wine shop and a great tapas bar all in one. It’s a bit north of the main business area closer to the water, but well worth finding.
Happy Hour Monday to Thursday 4-7pm, Friday 4-6pm
- $8 Tapas (Meatballs, Spanish Garbanzos, Pan con Tomate, Ham or Chorizo Croquetas)
- $8 Sangria
- $6 Draft Beer
- $12 Veuve Clicquot
- Many discounted wine by the glass specials
Sandbar Sports Bar
Sandbar has about a dozen TVs, making it one of the best sports bars in Miami and really the only true sports bar in Coconut Grove other than local chain Flanigan’s. They have a good beer selection and bar food. The cocktails aren’t fancy (or expensive) but try the Hurricanes, which go from Category 1 (least strong) to Category 5 (knock you on your ass).
Happy Hour Monday to Friday 3-7pm
- Half Priced Beer, Wine, and Most Liquors
Sushi Garage Cocowalk
Sushi Garage has become one of the most popular happy hours in Miami.
Happy Hour Every Day 5-8pm
- 1/2 off all specialty cocktails, wine, and sake carafes
- $7 Specialty Cocktails
- $4.50 Sushi & sashimi
- $6.50 Half California or Salmon Avocado Roll
- $10 Edamame, Seaweed Salad, Shishito Peppers, Avocado Tempura, Dumpling Soup, Gyoza, Korean Beef Leaf Taco, or 1/2 Shrimp tempura or Spicy Tuna Roll
- $12 Yaki Soba Noodles, Tempura Shrimp, Shrimp Dumplings, Crispy Avocado Rice, Korean Pork Tacos, Shrimp Tempura Tacos, Fried Chicken Tacos, Fried Tofu
Mayfair Grill
The Mayfair Grill is located on the ground floor of the Mayfair Hotel. The menu is inspired by open fire cuisine of the American southwest.
Happy Hour Weekdays 5-7pm
- Food specials
- $10 Cocktails
- $10 Wine
- $5 Beer
Greenstreet Cafe
Greenstreet Cafe is one of the most popular restaurants in Coconut Grove. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner so it’s good for any time of day. But half priced cocktails from 4 to 7 make it one of the best spots for happy in Coconut Grove. There is a bar inside and many outdoor tables. Breakfast is great and the wings are some of the best around.
Happy Hour Monday to Friday 4-7pm
- Half Priced Specialty Cocktails, Beer, and Wine
Jaguar
Jaguar has a focus on Central and South American cuisine. But the ceviches are generally the star of the show here.
Happy Hour known as “Hora Jaguar” every day 4-7pm
- Half-Priced cocktails (Caipirnha, Mojito, Margarita, Pisco Sour, Mezcaltini) meaning they are currently $7.50
- Half-Priced Beer and Wine
- $8 Bites served only at the bar (cheese quesadillas, fried calamari, ceviche tostadas, guacamole)
Botanico Gin & Cookhouse
Botanico Gin is an under the radar spot for happy hour in Coconut Grove. It has an indoor bar as well as a few outdoor couches so you can stop in for just cocktails and small bites. Although the focus is on gin cocktails, they also have wine, beer, and other cocktails. They have ditched the normal happy hour and raised prices by a dollar to create an all-day happy hour (which I guess now just means the regular prices).
Happy Hour All Day Every Day
- $12 Cocktails
- $8 Wine
- $6 Beer
- $12 Tapas (Tuna Tostadas, Moules Frites, Gambas al Ajillo, Yuca Fries, Wagyu Slider, Choripan, Ahi Tuna Sashimi)
The Bazaar Project Bistro
The Bazaar Project is a beautiful boutique shop and cafe. The cafe portion is in the front with an Italian and Turkish focused menu. Try the avocado toast for breakfast and any of the salads or Turkish mezze platter in the afternoon. Plus, they have a great Turkish coffee and wine.
Happy Hour Monday to Thursday 3-6pm
- 50% off Aperol Spritz, Mimosa, and Bellini
- 30% off all wine and beer
Loretta and the Butcher
Loretta and the Butcher is an Argentinian restaurant, and one of my favorites in the area for a mid-priced meal. They have lunch specials for $17 that include things like a choripan sandwich, skirt steak sandwich, half chicken, salmon burger, and a skirt steak entree. Dinner is a very meat focused menu with steaks, lamb, short rib, and fish. If you are with a group, then a great choice is the meat or seafood parrilla (platters of various meat and seafood).
Loretta and the Butcher is a small restaurant with just a few bar seats so it’s best to go if you plan to order food in addition to drinks.
Happy Hour Weekdays 3-6pm
- 2 For 1 Beer and Wine
- Food + Beer specials for $15
The Taurus
The Taurus is proof that bar food doesn’t need to be just fried food and burgers (although their butter burger is pretty good). Try the smoked wings, one of the surprisingly good bar pizzas, and one of the 150 types of whiskey that they keep on hand. Or if you want to relive your younger days, try the 32oz Moose Juice, which like a Long Island Iced Tea is made with a little bit of everything plus some juice. They also host events like comedy and trivia nights.
I love everything about this bar… the food, the drinks, the staff, and even the customers.
You might also want to have dinner next door at their sister restaurant, Ariete. With a Michelin star, Ariete is perhaps the best restaurant in Coconut Grove, and one of the best in Miami.
Happy Hour Every Day 5-7pm featuring 2 for 1 liquor and draft beer
Barracuda Taphouse & Grill
Barracuda has the weakest happy hour on this list, basically 10% off draft beer. But hey, it’s something!
But it does have the best beer menu around with over 40 taps with a rotating selection of local craft beer, Belgian Style, IPAs, Ciders, Sours, and everything else. It also has a great Snapper sandwich. The beer and fish sandwich are what I come for.
You can find the current beer selection here: Barracuda Beer Menu on Untappd

LoKal was the first bar opened by Matt Kuscher of Kush Hospitality (the man behind the new Tobacco Road and all the other various “Kush” named bars). It isn’t just burgers and local beer here, but those are still the staples. LoKal remains one of the best happy hours in Cocount Grove.

- $6 Wine
- $5 Draft Beer
- Also Thursday and Friday 6-8pm is BOGO on select wines and small bites
